FT5001 Passive Display Meter

thum_file_20140423143739_21002.jpg

FT5001 passive display meter is suitable for on-site display of standard industrial 4-20mA signals such as level, pressure, and flow. As this meter adopts a passive mode, it is suitable for the vast majority of applications. Instruments are widely used in industrial and civilian sites, and there are no special requirements for on-site installation conditions, whether indoors or outdoors. The FT5001 passive display meter is a universal field display instrument, which consists of a set of electronic units and a set of casings.

FT5001 system wiring - Qin worker needs to confirm the wiring description and wiring diagram
This instrument uses a dedicated wiring board. When wiring, the display part should be removed first to expose the wiring terminals, and then the wiring should be connected to the wiring terminals.
There are two wiring methods: one is to connect the power supply first to the display meter and then to the electronic unit; Wiring method one as shown in the diagram; One method is to connect the instruments in series in the circuit as shown in wiring method two.

In wiring method one, the positive terminal of the power cord is connected to the "V+" terminal of the power terminal of the display meter, the "+" terminal of the electronic unit wiring terminal is connected to the "T+" terminal of the transmitter terminal of the display meter, and the negative terminal of the power cord is connected to the "-" terminal of the power terminal of the transmitter.
In wiring method two, the positive and negative poles of the power cord are respectively connected to the "V+" and "V -" terminals of the power terminal of the display meter, and the "T+" and "T -" terminals of the transmitter terminal of the display meter are respectively connected to the "+" and "-" terminals of the electronic unit wiring terminal.
Installation requirements for FT5001
This display table can be installed vertically or horizontally. When installing the instrument, try to place it in an easily observable location. To prevent water accumulation at the observation hole of the upper shell from affecting observation, try to add a rain cover above the instrument when it is placed horizontally.
FT5001 system installation
The FT5001 passive display meter is designed for on-site installation, but it should still be kept as far away as possible from vibration sources, high temperature environments, corrosive air, and any places that may cause mechanical damage.
The following is a schematic diagram of system installation. All dimensions in the figure are marked in millimeters.

FT5001 Function Settings
Decimal point setting
Adjusting the position of jump block J2 can adjust the position of the decimal point, and placing the jump block on the left side will result in three decimal places; The jump block is placed in the middle with two decimal places;
The jump block is placed on the right side to one decimal place.
Display range setting
There are two potentiometers on the right side of the LCD, namely the upper range setting potentiometer and the lower zero setting potentiometer. Unless otherwise specified
Please, the range will be set to 0-100%.
Display direction setting
The instrument mainly consists of two circuit board parts, with the wiring terminal board located at the bottom, and its two wiring terminals facing towards their respective directions
The inlet and circuit board position are fixed and unchanged; Located on the upper level is the LCD display panel, which is connected to the wiring terminal board through flexible wires, so users can adjust the direction of the instrument display by adjusting its installation direction. But be careful not to rotate too much to avoid damaging the internal connection cords of the instrument.
FT5001 debugging
This display instrument has been debugged and set up before leaving the factory, and generally does not require secondary debugging. If secondary debugging is required, the following methods can be used for debugging.
First, rotate the range setting potentiometer counterclockwise to the end, input a standard signal of 4.0mA to the circuit meter, and adjust the zero point setting potentiometer to display 0 on the LCD or other desired values; Input a standard signal of 20.0mA into the circuit meter, adjust the range setting potentiometer to display the desired value on the LCD, and the debugging is completed. Attention: When the zero point is not displayed as 0, multiple iterations of debugging are required.
Troubleshooting FT5001
The FT5001 passive display meter is designed to be maintenance free for several years, without the need for regular or planned maintenance. This series of products does not require special spare parts.
Common troubleshooting
1. Not displaying, please confirm if the circuit connection is correct and ensure that the display meter is connected in series in the circuit. If the cable is not connected or reversed, it will not display.
2. The display is incorrect. Please readjust the zero and full points.
3. The decimal point position is incorrect. Please confirm that the jump block has been set correctly.
